Cutting broccoli

How to Cut Broccoli Properly

Cutting broccoli properly is important if you want to make sure that your broccoli pieces are all the same size. This will ensure that they cook evenly and taste great. With a few simple steps, you can cut broccoli like a pro.

1. Cut off the florets

Start by cutting off the florets, which are the small green parts of the broccoli. You can do this by holding the broccoli in one hand and using a sharp knife to cut through the stalk. If necessary, trim off any tough ends with the knife.

2. Cut the florets into pieces

Once you have all of the florets, start cutting them into pieces. If you want them to be bite-sized, simply cut them in half. If you want them to be smaller, cut them into thirds or quarters.
